Healthy Foodie

Hello, my name is Alex and I am a carbaholic.

However, I’ve recently lost around 70 pounds and I’ve been getting questions on how I did it. So one portion of my blog is dedicated to telling you guys what I did.

First off, I don’t call it a diet. With a diet, there’s a chance that you can go back to your previous habits and thats exactly what we DO NOT want to do. This is a lifestyle change. Because honestly, if we go back to our old ways, we’re going to be back where we started.

Secondly, you will be able to eat whatever you want, I know I do. If I want a strawberry limeade from Sonic, thats exactly what I’m going to get. Now, there are trade offs of course. Since I drank the slush, I have to burn those calories off some kind of way. So just like in life, there are consequences to your actions. If you know you’re not going to run enough to burn 2,000 calories during the day, then don’t go eating everything you lay your eyes on. Its really simple, once you get started.

The last thing, you have to start. That’s the hardest part isn’t it? Actually starting. But once you get started and start seeing results, those workouts will get easier and you’ll be more motivated.

Are you ready? I hope so, because I’m excited!

Our first week, we’re going to start with altering our diet. So, I’m going to document what I eat every day and share it with you all. Below, I’m going to provide a grocery list so you’ll know what you need for the week. Hopefully, this will make it easier for you all to eat along.

Healthy Foodie Grocery List:
Skim milk
Granola (I get the kind with chocolate in it)
Greek Yogurt (I normally get the strawberry flavoring at the bottom)
Spaghetti squash
3 Zucchini’s
Cliff Bars (or any other kind of protein bar you may like)
Bacon (I do real bacon, not the turkey mess)
Wheat bread
Angel Food Cake
Frozen Yogurt
Coconut (I bought one last week and I still don’t know what to do with it)
Ginger seasoning
Spaghetti Sauce
Soy Sauce (Low Sodium)
Teriyaki Sauce (Low sodium)
Juice (I get Cranberry-Mang0)

So, this is my exact grocery list. It’s not that long but it will last me the whole week. So if you’re going to eat along, don’t be afraid to comment below and let me know. Don’t forget to check back on Sunday afternoon so we can get our week started off right!

    1. I’m actually attempting to put together a workout plan. Next week I’m doing a 7 day workout series.

I do cardio daily and then I focus on specific body parts after cardio.

  3. Good for you! Keep up the good work! Congratulations on your transformation. One thing is for certain…you’ll never know what you can do, until you try.

    Congratulations again Sweetie!
